Having worked in HR for a number of leading global hotel companies throughout my career, I know that hotel executives are intensely driven to succeed and that career development is a top priority. I have also seen how challenging it can be when execs face common scenarios such as job loss, redundancy or simply not receiving the right support when it comes to making the next move.

The continued growth of the international hotel industry has created a high demand for executive talent, especially as we are working in an environment with a challenging turnover rate (around 30%). That’s why we created a Career Management Centre to provide you with:

Because of the way it has been designed, the CMC is a bespoke service that helps you at all stages of your career to secure the best possible placements for long-term success. An integral component is the formulation of a Personal Development Plan (PDP) should you require assistance in this area.

From the very first phone interview, we invest the time and resources to understand your history, challenges, capabilities, goals and achievements, before an optional independent assessment is undertaken. We work with the very best independent assessors and industrial psychologists to provide a first-class assessment format which is second to none, followed by a one-on-one post analysis of capability and potential. A variety of courses/programs are also available in partnership with leading learning and education providers, which will develop capability and increase competency across all the critical areas. Once a suitable job opportunity arises you will be matched and interviews coordinated with the client.

CMC process for members:

  • complete a specially designed CV online
  • a comprehensive profile of each individual will be developed for our CMC database during an interim interview conducted by CMC executive staff
  • candidates may choose to undergo online psychometric testing if required
  • candidates sorted into various categories based on professional experience, knowledge and skills, capability, mobility, cultural fit, language capability if applicable, personal profile and individual aspirations
  • each candidate within a defined category that matches the job brief to be prioritized
  • interviews conducted in person or via SKYPE against specific job briefs, and reports written incorporating reasons for selection in an executive summary
  • candidates to be decided on and presented for each job brief
