The International Association of Hotel General Managers (IAHGM), which includes Middle East hospitality veterans in its Board of Governors, has launched an advisory services offering, to provide support to hotel general managers, hotel executives, hotel companies and owners within the industry.

IAHGM cultivates a global network of partners comprised of hospitality experts who are able to provide assistance and support in a number of critical areas, including hotel openings & conversions; asset management; profit optimisation; strategy development; HR management; executive coaching & development; management systems; service quality improvement; operational performance; development of standard operating procedures.Services can benefits for hotel owners, IAHGM says, including improved profitability, reduced overheads, fit for purpose organisation structures, professional development for their employees and improved asset valuation, whilst GMs and their executive teams have access to independent expert advice on core hospitality management issues.

Launched in 2016, The International Association of Hotel General Managers is the world’s first and only initiative dedicated to the hotel general management community. Among its 11-strong Board of Governors are veteran players of the MIddle East's hospitality industry, namely, Richard Hartman, non-executive director for Jumeirah Group, former CEO of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, former board director and MD of InterContinental Hotels Group, Europe, Middle East and Africa; and  Kees Hartzuiker, CEO for Roya International Dubai, former VP Asia, Hilton International.
