Below is a list of Head of Function categories that are eligible for Membership with the Association. When applying for Membership, please ensure to select your correct Category on the application page.

Manager / Resident / EAM

To be eligible for this category you must hold the position of either Hotel Manager, Resident Manager or an EAM with responsibility for a Function(s).

Director of Finance

To be eligible for this category you must have responsibility for the Finance function, at least at a property level. This category also includes Senior Executives with Group, Corporate, Regional, Cluster and Multi-Unit responsibilities.

Director of Sales & Marketing

To be eligible for this category you must have responsibility for either Sales and/or Marketing function, at least at a property level. This category also includes Senior Executives with Group, Corporate, Regional, Cluster and Multi-Unit responsibilities.

Director of Food & Beverage

To be eligible for this category you must have responsibility for the Food & Beverage function, at least at a property level. This category also includes Senior Executives with Group, Corporate, Regional, Cluster and Multi-Unit responsibilities.

Director of Human Resources

To be eligible for this category you must have responsibility for either the Human Resources, Learning and Development or Training function(s), at least at a property level. This category also includes Senior Executives with Group, Corporate, Regional, Cluster and Multi-Unit responsibilities.

Director of Rooms

To be eligible for this category you must have responsibility for the Rooms function including Front Office and/or Housekeeping, at least at a property level. This category also includes Senior Executives with Group, Corporate, Regional, Cluster and Multi-Unit responsibilities.

Director of Revenue Management

To be eligible for this category you must have responsibility for Revenue Management including Reservations, at least at a property level. This category also includes Senior Executives with Group, Corporate, Regional, Cluster and Multi-Unit responsibilities.

Director of IT

To be eligible for this category you must have responsibility for the overall IT functionality including Systems, at least at a property level. This category also includes Senior Executives with Group, Corporate, Regional, Cluster and Multi-Unit responsibilities.

Director of Public Relations

To be eligible for this category you must have responsibility for the Public Relations and/or Communications function, at least at a property level. This category also includes Senior Executives with Group, Corporate, Regional, Cluster and Multi-Unit responsibilities.

Executive Chef

To be eligible for this category you must have responsibility for Food Production / Catering and Kitchen Operations, at least at a property level. This category also includes Senior Executives with Group, Corporate, Regional, Cluster and Multi-Unit responsibilities.

Executive Housekeeper

To be eligible for this category you must have responsibility for the Housekeeping and Public area cleaning function, at least at a property level. This category also includes Senior Executives with Group, Corporate, Regional, Cluster and Multi-Unit responsibilities.

Head of Security

To be eligible for this category you must have responsibility for Security, Safety, Loss Prevention and Risk Management, at least at a property level. This category also includes Senior Executives with Group, Corporate, Regional, Cluster and Multi-Unit responsibilities.

Chief Engineer

To be eligible for this category you must have responsibility for the Engineering and Maintenance functions, at least at a property level. This category also includes Senior Executives with Group, Corporate, Regional, Cluster and Multi-Unit responsibilities.
